Day 1 Friday 26 th January 2018

It is planned that all UK guests would arrive in Bozeman Gallatin Fields airport
approximately 19.17 hours on the 26 th January 2018 having caught the Heathrow
BA flight which leaves approximately 08.45 hours on the 26 th January 2018. We
will collect our large 4 wheel drive vehicle and proceed to our accommodation
for this first night the Best Western Plus Grantree Inn. This will give us time to
freshen up, have dinner and discuss the trip ahead.

Day 2 Saturday 27 th January 2018

After breakfast we will head to Gardiner where we will stay for 3 nights.
Gardiner is approximately 90 minutes so we will have plenty of time to check
into our accommodation the Best Western and head towards the Lamar valley
famous for its wildlife

Days 3 to 5 Sunday 28 th January 2018 – Tuesday 30 th January 2018

We will spend these three whole days exploring the Lamar Valley and would
expect to see Bison, Elk, Coyote, Mountain Goats, Big Horn, Wolves as well as a
variety of birds and incredible snow covered landscapes. Before we go exploring
on the third day Tuesday 30 th we will need to check out after breakfast but we
are able to leave our baggage in the hotel for collection later before we head to

West Yellowstone where we will again check into a Best Western hotel. The
journey to West Yellowstone may take upto 4 hours so this will be a long day and
we should be prepared to arrive into West Yellowstone quite late. The Western
Inn West Yellowstone will be our base for 5 nights.

Days 6 – 9 Wednesday 31st January 2018 – Saturday 3 rd February 2018

We have chartered a snow coach for these 4 whole days enabling us to get into
the National Park and explore those areas not accessible to public vehicles at this
time of year. Each day we will travel to different parts of the park returning to
those areas where we find some of the incredible wildlife that lives in this area.
We will focus on the wildlife but will not be giving up opportunities to
photograph the incredible snow covered landscapes you will see within the park.
Once in the park we would expect to find Red Fox, Bison, Elk, Moose, Coyote,
Wolves, Trumpeter Swans, Otter, Eagles overhead, maybe Bobcat. The areas we
would expect to visit within the park would include Mountain Geyser Basin,
Norris Geyser Basin, Artist Paintpots as well as spending a lot of time in the
Hayden Valley.

Days 10 and 11 Sunday 4 th February 2018 – Monday 5 th February 2018

We check out of our accommodation after breakfast and travel by Snow Coach to
the Old Faithful Snow Lodge situated in the heart of the National Park where we
will stay for two nights. We have the option to limit baggage we take to the Old
Faithful Lodge by leaving excess at the Snow Coach offices. The Old Faithful area
is a geologic wonder with active geysers all around that we will explore on foot
via exceptionally well-marked walkways. Within this area it is not unusual to
find Bison, Elk and Coyote but the star attractions are array of active geysers and
the surrounding landscapes.

Day 12 Tuesday 6 th February 2018

After breakfast and any last chance early sunrise opportunities we will check out
of the Old Faithful Lodge and head back to West Yellowstone via our Snow
Coach. During the day we have last minute opportunities to visit favourite
locations within the National Park but at the close of today we will say goodbye
to our Snow Coach guide and check back into the West Yellowstone Best
Western for one more evening.

Day 13 Wednesday 7 th February 2018

It is intended that the morning of Day 13 be spent quite leisurely where guests
can do some shopping in West Yellowstone before we check out of our
accommodation and head back to Bozeman where we will again check into the
Bozeman Best Western

Day 14 Thursday 8 th February 2018

Departure day, we will check out of our accommodation and make the short trip
to Bozeman Gallatin Field. Suggested flights home to the UK would be departing
Bozeman at approximately 13.10 hours on the 14 th arriving into Heathrow UK at
approximately 11.45 on Friday 9 th February 2018.

Yellowstone Park in Winter is one of the worlds premier locations for photographing
wildlife and snow covered landscapes, but it will be cold so warm clothing is essential,
appropriate boots, gloves, hats with plenty of thermal layers.

Equipment: If you have a 500mm or a 300mm then bring it, clearly we cannot get
too close to Bison though during winter these preserve energy so are at lot more
relaxed. We will though have lots of wide angle opportunities not only with
wildlife but especially landscape.
